Ellie is a 29-year-old landscape artist based in the Lake District, where she works predominantly with oil paints. Drawing inspiration directly from nature, Ellie merges her two greatest passions—hiking and painting—to bring others closer to the landscapes she cherishes. Her work is an exploration of emotion and atmosphere, capturing the essence of each scene with an authentic, evocative approach.

Living near the Yorkshire Dales, Ellie often focuses on the area’s stunning landscapes, particularly the walking spots that inspire her. She frequently paints on location, working in natural light and using the plein air technique to capture the mood of the moment. Through textured brushstrokes and a playful use of colour, she conveys the energy and spirit of the landscape.

"I’m always excited by a dramatic sky, especially right after it’s rained, when the sun breaks through the clouds," says Ellie. "I love capturing the real mood of a place so that when I revisit my painting, I can almost escape into it. I hope others feel that same sense of connection when they explore my work."
