Ellie is a 28 year landscape artist based in the Lake District, working predominantly with oil paints. Painting  purely from nature, Ellie combines her two huge passions of hiking and painting in attempts to bring others closer to the nature she loves so dearly; aiming to portray real emotion and atmosphere through her work. 

Being situated close to the Yorkshire Dales, this area also proves to be another focus for Ellie’s work, as she often seeks to capture her favourite walking spots. By painting from natural light, often plein air, there is a true mood captured through her textured brush strokes and playful use of colour. 

“I get so excited by a dramatic sky, especially just after it’s rained and the sun starts to peek through again” says Ellie. “I love capturing the real mood of a place, so I can look back at my painting and almost escape into it, and that’s how I love other people to feel when exploring my work.”

Ellie also designs bespoke wedding stationery for couples, creating unique designs for those who wish for a touch of personalised luxury on their most magical day.
